Thermal Transfer Printing

The Thermal Transfer Printers use a ribbon (ribbon, ink, ...) of carbon thermal transfer that passes between the head and the label. The heat caused by the head causes the ribbon ink to be released and attached to the label. The Thermal Transfer printers are the most effective when producing resistant and long-lasting labels.

Direct Thermal Printing

Direct Thermal Printers do not use ribbon. They use heat-sensitive labels that, when they come into contact with the head, produce black on the paper, similar to a fax. Direct thermal paper is sensitive to heat and sunlight, so it is recommended to label products that are stored indoors. The internal duration of the direct thermal labels is approximately one year.
