Zebra ET80/ET85 2-in-1 tablets are designed specifically for the public sector and are primarily used in manufacturing, state and local governments, or utilities. Their detachable keyboards and 12" QHD display with 800 nits, 10-point touch and scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass make them easy (and fast) to use, even in sunlight, and impress with first-class performance in every situation and environment.
Both tablets are much more flexible than a laptop: they are more than 35% thinner and 20% lighter than leading 2-in-1 competitors with the same screen size. The ET80/ET85 tablets transform into a laptop or completely stationary or mobile workstation in seconds by simply plugging and unplugging the robust keyboard. They meet e-Mark requirements and are therefore suitable for use in vehicles.
Additional equipment of the ET80 / ET85 includes powerful 11th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, as well as 8 or 16 GB RAM and 128, 256 or 512 GB SSD. The replaceable 5,180 mAh lithium-ion battery with PowerPrecision+ technology ensures long uptimes. A 3400 mAh hot-swap battery with up to 11 hours of runtime is optionally available. Additionally, the tablets offer a 5-megapixel Windows Hello front camera and a 13-megapixel rear color camera with autofocus and user-controlled LED flash. Depending on requirements, an integrated 2D scanner with SE4107 scanning engine and a Windows Hello fingerprint reader are also available. The scanner, which also reads poorly printed, damaged and scratched barcodes, is located in the lower right corner of the ET80/ET85 tablets. For public service staff, this offers the advantage of scanning documents more easily, even when the tablet is docked in the vehicle.
Large interface selection ensures smooth data transfer and high connectivity. This consists of USB-A 3.2, USB-C, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and optional Ethernet. The ET85 also offers 5G and GPS, as well as a nano and eSIM. The tablets are equipped with two speakers and four noise-canceling microphones. Whether during a push-to-talk or video call, dictating notes or using a voice command, every word is understood. When designing the ET80/ET85 2-in-1 tablets, Zebra focused on a fanless design with high durability. They are fully protected against dust and water jets to IP65 standards and are impact resistant to MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD 461G from up to 1.2 m or 1.5 m with the optional protective cover. Thanks to Class 1 Division 2 certification, the ET80 and ET85 tablets can also be used safely in the vicinity of flammable hazardous materials.
For even greater performance and improved efficiency, the ET80/ET85 tablets access Zebra Mobility DNA and Scanning DataCapture DNA tools. These include Workforce Connect with multiple text messaging and push-to-talk features, and 123Scan for automatic recognition and simplified setup of the built-in scanner.
